Grrr... Argh!
Maybe I'm just in a pissy mood because my best friend is in the hospital, but...
Does Toronto actually have by-laws? Or did I just dream them?
During the walk to work this morning, I was nearly run over by several cyclists. Cyclists who are moving faster than the cars on the road. Cycling is a great activity. It is certainly better for the planet than driving cars. Cyclists are allowed to feel morally superior.
But the traffic laws still apply to them. So, unless you're 8 years old - stay off the bloody sidewalk!
Also, leash laws. I can understand dog owners not understanding the subtleties of what is and isn't an off-the-leash area in High Park. And owners absolutely need to let their dogs run free from time to time.
But really, a dog off the leash at Bloor and Spadina? In the middle of rush hour? I feel sorry for the dog that's got such a stupid and irresponsible owner.

Yeah, sometimes I wonder if Toronto has by-laws too. I've also seen cyclists riding on the sidewalk when they should have been on the road. I know it can be dangerous for cyclists, but if you make the choice to ride a bicycle then you should follow the by-laws.
All dogs should be on leashes. Stupid and irresponsible pet owners make my blood boil. Grrrr...

Thanks.
Well, it was planned surgery. Still it turned out slightly worse than I, or the qualified medical professionals, thought likely. But hey, the result was way better than her own understandable anxieties predicted.
Of course, despite my weeks of reassurances, I was a nervous wreck yesterday while waiting to hear word of how it went.
(PS: Sending flowers by FTD.com is expensive.)
Of course, it's not like I need an excuse to be a pissy mood.

My Pupa nearly got attacked by a Bull Terrier the other week, in Allan Gardens, which isn't a leash-free zone.
Sorry about your friend.

I'd like to do this, but I don't have the confidence that they'd stop. I'm not convinced that they value human life the same way I do.
Sorry to hear that your little bean was almost attacked. Still I'll bet that little cutie could charm his way out of the situation.
