You may have heard that we've had some flooding in the UK. Oddly enough it only seemed to rain heavily on days when I wasn't going anywhere. And being high above sea level, we were relatively untouched at Gregynog.

Sorne seemed disturbingly gleeful at the thought of a global flood and that our merry little conference alone would have to repopulate the Earth.

It looks my train -- with inflexible, super-cheap booked-in-advance ticket -- back to London has been cancelled, however. But that's trivial compared to the flooding I saw in the Marches and the Wye Valley.

There were some spectacular views on the coach ride back to Cardiff. (Just a long distance bus, not something fancy and horse-drawn. It's kind of like calling a flashlight a 'torch', it makes an everyday object seem a lot more romantic.)

Oh, and AlysScarlet and Sorne are among the greatest people ever. I can't begin to say how much their friendship helped recharge my batteries.

Of course, it helps that I didn't have to prepare silly kits for anyone at work too. But I had a really wonderful time at the conference. Hopefully, I'll come back changed and better for the experience.
