All hail Eris!

So, that troublesome dwarf planet that got astronomers talking about whether Pluto should be backballed from the "planet club" as well has finally got its proper name.

Eris. I'm a little surprised they didn't go with the Latin name Discordia, given that most planets have Latin rather than Greek names. And it's not as cool its temporary name - Xena, but hey... Eris is a pretty cool name.

And its moon? Dysnomia or "lawlessness". Maybe it's the Robin Hood scholar in me, but that's an even better name.

Maybe armed with such cool names, Eris and Pluto can force their way back into the Planet Club.
