Aug. 30th, 2007 09:29 amStratford, ON is a lovely place. I just saw Oklahoma! last weekend. It was a very good production.
Jud is a fascinating figure, and villain he may be but the townsfolk are just creepy. Like the sort-of reverse lynch mob at the end, where all the normal folks rally around Curly and make sure he gets acquited without having to go through the tedium of a proper trial. Oh, and then there's the humiliation of the picnic basket auction, ... oh and the hero trying to incite the outsider to commit suicide.
I see Brian Bedford is playing King Lear there. He was the voice of the Disney Robin Hood fox, and I've included him on my latest bevy of interview requests.
Oh, and I'm reading Dante's Inferno. I'm trying to figure out how Hell stacks up against life. It looks like Satan never thought of the cubicle.
