Still not certain if I'll pop by the Pride Parade this weekend. Crowded malls drive me nuts, and I'm not that keen on getting an anxiety attack. Normal working life is good enough for that.

Of course, I have celebrated in small ways -- such as seeing the cult classic All About Eve at the Cinematheque last night. It had, as had been promised, a great screenplay. And a surprising tie to something I've been working on. Oh, and this morning (thanks, A.), I watched John Barrowman and Derek Jacobi on Doctor Who. So, that's a very anti-social way to celebrate.

If anything will make me get over my crowd-o-phobia, it is the evil comments of a co-worker. He talked about wanting to go down there and shoot people. He also was remarking how bizarre it was that Israel was having a gay pride parade. So, apparently it's understandable for religious folks in the Holy Land to kill each other on a daily basis -- but to celebrate love and diversity, that seems wrong and irreligious to him.

I think I'll go play Hawkeye Pierce to his Frank Burns for a while.

(I corrected the typo -- the office homophobe expressed the desire to shoot parade goers, not shout at them.)
