Photos on the First of May
May. 1st, 2007 09:52 pmI've always felt an affinity for the month of May. Sure, it's my birthday month. But it's also the month when trees turn to green. It's the month most associated with Robin Hood. Oh, and then at the end of the month, there's the May Two-Four fireworks. What's not to love?
Unfortunately, this morning I was a bit slow getting out of bed. I entered High Park at 7 am, just in time to see the Morris dancers dispersing. It's a lovely little tradition, and I'm sorry I missed it this year.

I wandered around the park (directly across the street from my apartment, for those who don't know Toronto). Not far from the Morris dancers, I saw an ent -- or something like it.

Here are a couple more pictures of the park on the first of May.

And then I hopped on the subway to the land of cubicles. Thank goodness I have a nice view from my window.
