Grrr... Rick Groen's Idiocy Again
Mar. 9th, 2007 09:13 amI'm not sure if I'll see the movie 300. The Globe and Mail's review by Rick Groen confirms a lot of my concerns. (It bothers me that Zack Snyder is going to direct Watchmen, but then I've already given up hope there.)
Of course, I could be snide. Judge all films to be the intellectual equal of Ernest Goes to Camp. But that would be wrong, silly, and far too ignorant -- rather like Rick Groen. Once again, he makes snide remarks about the entire comic book medium.
And once again, I wonder if comics are inherently worse than films - why is the V for Vendetta comic better than the movie?

P.S.: At least the word musical hasn't come to mean "dumb as pigshit". I still think comics are the more disrespected artform.
