It's certainly fine for Sunday...
Feb. 19th, 2007 11:29 amLast year, when I was in the UK, K. demanded that I see Sunday in the Park with George, and paid for the ticket. I saw three shows when I was in London, and Sunday was the one I expected to enjoy the least. And yet it's the one I loved the most. I have the score from the London Revival cast on my iPod. "Putting it together" and "Move On" get the most play, particularly "Move On" as an anthem for my life.
Anyway, yesterday Sunday swept the UK theatre awards, the Oliviers. It was a much deserved when and it's nice to see quality triumphing for a change.
Lead actors Daniel Evans and Jenna Russell had small roles in Doctor Who, by the way. Evans was the rocket scientist in "The Christmas Invasion", and Jenna Russell was the TV producer who was exterminated in "Parting of the Ways" (right after shouting "You lied to us! The bullets don't work!" at Capt. Jack).
"That is the state of the art, my friend. That is the state of the art."
