And so it begins. Here's some cash. Oh, those services you wanted? Gone. But you've got cash.

I have to wonder what the Tory policy towards transit and roads will be? Each Canadian will get $100, and if they choose to spend it on asphalt to help with road construction, great! And the public transit policy? If Canadians want to spend some of their bonus cash to buy a ratchet to help fix a broken subway train, fantastic!

If not, well... then you'd be an evil Liberal communications director for suggesting that maybe the government should actually properly fund some services rather than just tossing money at its citizens.

Still this form of bribery - cash instead of services - helped Harper win the election, didn't it?

I worry about my country.

And don't even get me started on the whole love-in for two-tier (but we can't quite call it that because it would scare people) healthcare that's been going on.
